A book full of treasured insight!

When I first picked up Donna's book I was expecting a light hearted look at life. It only took several pages in to realize I had a friend who was taking my hand and guiding me to really look at where my feet have carried me so far in life. Have I let the protectiveness of my lifestyle and security keep me from the risk of investing in a lifestyle I love? Have I let labels and past hurts affect my decisions and where I am in life? She reaches in and shows us how God calls us to something far greater, that we have a choice to live a life of freedom and boldness. She shows us that God wants us to see with His vision, the bigger picture and create a new list of priorities...one beyond our labels, one unshackled by the hurts of our past and one beyond our small circle of self. "He wants you to look at your past without pain, your present without pressure, and your future without fear. In this way you can pursue an adventurous life filled with the Lord Jesus's presence and promises."

Not an ordinary life!

I picked up the book & was gripped. "Our ordinary lives can have deep significance when we live intentionally and take risks. But they tend to become extremely superficial if we don't." MY life is ever so ordinary and often feels lack luster & just plain busy. Donna says that God sees us differently that we see ourselves. He sees what he placed within us by design. I want to live an exciting, meaningful life, not one of doldrums. I think most people want this.. Donna Carter walks us through the life challenging questions & starts the book out with Think Big, "what is in focus in our view finder will be the most powerful thing in our lives". I was challenged and loved the thought provoking questions she posed at the end of most chapters. I had to stop myself to think before moving on to the next chapter.

The book was gripping with the personal stories of people she knew within it. I found myself flipping through to read of the life stories & lessons she shared that resulted. Once I actually hit the chapter I found the examples to be relevant & will remember them as a result of those personal experiences. I loved the personal vulnerable stories Donna shared.

Thank you Donna. I personally will work to kick the boring out of my life.

Great dynamics!

Bram Moore-Llewellyn is the Stonefire Clan Leader. His male clan members get an opportunity to have a sacrifice who is human to bear them young. Unfortunately, not all of the woman survive their pregnancies. The inspectors make sure these human females are treated fairly and that the clan abides by the female's contract.

Bram is strong and dominant and his Dragon is very opinionated with him.

Evie Marshall has been a DDA inspectors for around 7 years. She has now been threatened by the Dragon Hunters. She has a plan to seduce the Clan reader of the Stonefire Dragons so that he will protect her. Bram just get under Evie's skin and makes her temper flair. She always wanted to be a sacrifice for a Dragon Shifter, but unfortunately, she is not compatible.

These two are strong willed characters. I laughed out loud a lot. He is strong and dominant and his Dragon is very opinionated with him.

There is a lot of sex in this series. I am O.K. with that. If you are offended by explicit sexual content... Then this series is not for you.

Great Story and Dragon World

I have bought all 8 stories in the first series and the 3 in the Scots offshoot after reading the Seduced, Healed and Sacrificed to the Dragon books, in that order.

I think I will have jump ahead and read the first Scots series book next because the first twin cousin storyline sounds so interesting. My first 3 books were great. I enjoyed her writing, her characters and the world she has built. Some of the heroines are part of a sacrifice program where women agree to try to have children to repopulate the dragons if they are a genetic match, others are dragons or humans looking for help. The whole sacrifice process is overseen by a sometimes shady government agency. If the women get pregnant they have to stay until the baby is born but can then walk away if they want. The dragons can tell by a kiss if someone is a possible true match, which is true whether the heroine is a dragon or human. If they are a true match, the dragon will have to fight a mating frenzy which doesn't stop until the female is pregnant. Throw in some dragon bad guys and dragon hunters and you have lots of new and interesting situations to enjoy.

This is definitely a good series, I would have rather the story be in first person, but at least she gives the point of view of the two main characters. I was a bit confused at first with Sacrificed to the Dragon, which is book one of this series, but I quickly adapted to Jessie's writing style, she has a great imagination. She has to start up quick to be able to get into the meat and potatoes of the story, which I appreciate. This series is sci-fi with hot and steamy romance. I love how passionate the two characters are, they are the complete opposite from each other, yet need each other to be able to breath. I love the fact that she makes her women sassy, smart and no holds barred. This series reminds me very much of another from a completely different author, now if you and Evangeline Anderson (author: Brides of the Kindred), got together to write a book, it would be out of this world!!!! I love, love this series and will continue to follow Miss Jessie Donovan.

Depends on what you're looking for.

If what you're looking for is a book that will truly teach you how to perform erotic and sensual massages, which is what it ostensibly is all about, I would only rate this book three stars; it seems to me that the descriptions of technique would be very difficult for the novice to follow and the pictures are not really sufficient to lead one step-by-step through the process. In this regard, the book is helpful, but not really sufficient; I would rate it two to three stars for this aspect.
If what you're looking for is graphic nude pictures, I would rate it three stars; the pictures are graphic enough, but not really very hard-core.
If, on the other hand, what you want is a book with a wealth of very EROTIC and SENSUAL pictures, with a text that gives you a good excuse for having such a book on hand, this is definitely a five-star effort, and since this is what I believe to be the ACTUAL purpose of this book, I'll bump its overall rating up to four stars.
