The original sourcebook for Ministry of Special Cases
By Another Bookworm
Bristow's work is an excellent, balanced and well-sourced academic resource that does not shy away from exploring the dark underbelly of Jewish life in the 20th century. Jewish involvement in prostitution (and other elements of organized crime) is a dicey subject historically, as it either tends to be overstated by people with anti-Jewish agendas, or underplayed or ignored by members of the Jewish establishment lest it appear embarrassing or, worse yet, give ammunition to antisemites. However Bristow capably demonstrates that not only was Jewish involvement in prostitution and trafficking not as predominant as antisemites sometimes claimed, but also documents the many Jewish personalities and organizations who devoted themselves to fighting the pimps and madams, particularly those trafficking in Jewish women.

Without polemics, Bristow helps shed light on how the depressed economic conditions of Jewish life often contributed to involvement in organized crime and specifically prostitution (one of the few ways for women to get large amounts of money and/or passage from Eastern Europe), and also shows how Jewish migration patterns became intertwined with trafficking routes.

Lastly, for afficionados of good gangster stories, Bristow also provides quite a few anectdotes which, despite the book's dry tome, still prove fascinating stuff. Read about Jewish gangsters from Warsaw to New York to Constantinople, as well as such shadowy groups as the Zwi Migdal Society of Buenos Aires, now immortalized in Nathan Englander's novel Ministry of Special Cases. Zwi Migdal was one of the most colorful "second worlds" within Jewish society, known for creating their own synagogue and cemetery after they were spurned by their socially-conscious cousins.

Whether you're interested in learning more about the seamier side Jewish history or simply a fan of true crime, Bristow's book is worth the read. Don't be too put off by its academic tone or the page length- take a look!

An Ongoing Evil
By john thames
"Prostitution and Prejudice" is a comprehensive view of a very unpleasant subject: the vast Jewish sex slave trade of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries - a practice that continues today. Bristow quotes damning statistics of the Jewish involvement in this evil, statistics from the various European police departments of the day. A famous trial held at Czernowitz consisted of twenty or more defendants - all Jewish.Today, the same evil exists in Eastern Europe following the collapse of the Soviet Union. Once again, the sex slave traders, many of them women, are virtually all Jewish - and the chief destination of the trade is the brothels in Israel.

The present scope of the problem is, of course, outside the scope of Bristow's study. But he makes very clear that the so-called "white slave trade" was one of the chief causes of the anti-semites in the nineteenth century - and there was vast ecidence to support the charge. In Czarist Russia, for instance, where prostitution was legal, out of some 280 odd liscenced houses of prostitution, 230 were run by Jewish madams. Perhaps this unpleasant reality is attributable to the Talmudic injunction that all "non-Jewesses are whores". It is similar to Israel today where the Zionist state has an extremely strict sex harassment law for bothering Jewesses but no concern at all for Ukrainians and Russians kidnapped into Tel Aviv brothels.

Edward Bristow's book is informative reading describing the odious practice of a Chosen People who can do no wrong.Sex slavery is only one of those practices. Tax farming by commission, stealing Arab Palestine and Communizing Russia are others.

Barbara Ann Mojica and Victor Ramon Mojica have done a wonderful job with creating their book. I think I enjoyed it just as much as my children. This is an excellent and unique way to teach children about history and historical places in the United States. There is so much information included in this book, but it is shared in a way that is easy to read and understand, and not be overwhelming for children. A fun children's book, which educates children about American history.
By Mrs.D.
What a wonderful reading experience: Little Miss History Travels to MOUNT RUSHMORE. A fun children's book, which educates children about American history.

I was always fascinated by children's books that help children to develop a knowledge of American history. Little Miss History Travels to MOUNT RUSHMORE is written in a very creative way by historian Barbara A. Mojica. The author wisely introduces children to the historical facts, value, and meaning of American historical landmarks. Easy to follow, this delightful children's book captured my attention from the first page. Informative, uplifting, and amusing, Little Miss History took me for a wonderful trip to Mount Rushmore, where she introduced me to a piece of American history.

Reading this book, I felt as if I were on top of Mount Rushmore observing the history unfolding in front of my eyes. I learned about two of the greatest landmarks, Six Grandfathers and Chief Crazy Horse Memorial. The story itself is exciting, engaging, and very educational. It will absorb children with many historical facts about the Mount Rushmore National Memorial and what this monument means for Americans. The illustrations in this book are charming and entertaining. They perfectly reflect each episode and fact.

While reading this book, children will have fun traveling with Little Miss History to the Black Hills of South Dakota. They will also have a wonderful learning experience. When I turned the last page of this fun children's book, I felt as if Little Miss History had become my friend. Entertaining, exciting, and very outgoing, she teaches children about the history of our nation.

I would highly recommend this book for teachers and parents who would like to learn history with their children while having fun. Great children's book for any age! I can hardly wait for the next book, The Statue of Liberty.

Books That Sow: Strength, Character & Diversity, DBA

Wow, and Wow again! Writing this book was a great idea. I was taken away with "History" as she indeed took me "somewhere."

Teachers using thematic lessons as they teach children short history lessons will certainly appreciate a book like this. We all know "tidbits' about Mount Rushmore, but to learn about the intricate particulars simply amazed me.

I love the fine points of this story. A detail within this book teaches not only children, but adults alike. Each person may learn one or two added facts they may not have known until reading Mojica's book.

It is my understanding that this is a book the first in a series, so I can't wait to read the others.

I'd be remiss not to mention the illustrations. What vivid and "on the point" illustrations tailored so appropriately. Some illustrations even made me chuckle as I was pulled into the story more.

If you are looking for supplemental history materials to help you explain lessons in a fun, accurate way, this is the book for you. Take a closer look at this book yourself, and share it with all the educators in your circle.

I salute author, Mojica.

New way to teach history in a fun and factual, informative way that anyone can learn
By JpP
I have to be honest and say that history was never one of my favorite subjects in school but through little miss history and the incredible illustrations, I actually was interested in wanting to know more. If history books were all done this way with cool illustrations and fun ways of telling a story, using actual facts as told in the book then my love of history would have increased a million times over. I think this book is truly very unique and one of its kind that can help parents and teachers teach kids how to appreciate our great country by sharing facts and cool illustrations that bring the story to life. I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to teach their kids about history or well known monuments as in this case Mount Rushmore! I can't wait to see where Little Miss History takes us next ....

From Publishers Weekly
Since 1927, Wilkin's books have been enormously popular with parents and children, primarily because of her inimitable pictures. She is hard to beat at evoking a response to the young boys and girls, flowers and wild animals, that she captures in color and essence. Here are choices from Wilkin's earlier books: nursery rhymes, prayers, poems and stories. One section features babies from different ethnic backgrounds, alike in their "specialness." They are cuddly and little; they enjoy splashing in a tub, shaking a rattle, "Peek-a-Boo," brothers and sisters to play with. The short stories include a dandy about Georgie. His wish for a grandfather is granted when he finds a good friend who yearns for a grandson. Rounding out the collection are poems by Shelley, Christina Rossetti, Gerard Manley Hopkins, William Blake et al., plus the words and music to "Kumbaya," an African hymn.

I love this book
By M. Hewitt
I bought this book years ago when I was single because I am an artist and loved the children's illustrations. It is a beautiful book filled with beautiful and colorful illustrations on every page that coincides with each of the poems and short stories within. I am now married and have a little girl and this book is currently part of her library. I hope she will treasure it as much as I still do.

Beautiful book!
By lisalvo
I had the My Good Night Book as a child and it was one of my favorites. I searched for it today in a used book store for my newborn daughter but couldn't find it. However I did find this book and I am thrilled to have it. The illustrations are precious and the stories are so cute. I hope it will become one of her favorites. Already she was enthralled by the illustrations at only 8 weeks old.

Very good, with a caveat.
By H. Childs
I ordered three books by Eloise Wilkins because my son had so loved one of her books 30 years ago and I remember being melted by the pictures. Opening the first, I was startled as it seemed ALL the people in illustrations are of European descent, and I had planned on including the books with shower gifts -- and the first mother-to-be was of a darker ethnicity. Looking at this particular one again, it seems to have tried, with limited success, to incorporate non-'Europeans' in illustrations. I love the combining of nursery rhymes, poems, prayers and stories and expect the family I give the book to will have hours and hours of enjoyment from their favorites. I am especially delighted with the very last selection, from "Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner": "He prayeth well / Who loveth well, / Both man and bird and beast. / He prayeth best who loveth best / All things both great and small; / For the dear God Who loveth us, / He made and loveth all." This is a message I think children cannot hear too many times.

In and Out: Eccentricity in Britain, by Sophie Aymes-Stokes

The aim of the book is twofold: first, to provide an overview of the critical history of eccentricity; and secondly to conceptualise a notion that is often presented as a defining feature of the English character. It addresses the key issues raised by eccentricity and brings out interdisciplinary links between science, politics, literature and the arts: the sources and dissemination of the concept of eccentricity; its relationship with the English national character as historical and ideological construct; the structural need for variation and divergence within accepted social norms; the paradoxical status of the eccentric as outsider - when eccentricity is transgressive and alienating - and as insider - eccentricity as socially acceptable deviation. Fundamentally eccentricity is a normative notion: being ex-centred enables eccentrics to delineate and negotiate boundaries between the margins and the centre, the canon and the norm. The contributors question the links between eccentricity and diversity and originality, the value of individual experience and character, and as a corollary, the struggle to retain individuality against increasing standardization, commoditisation and channelling within the normative discourse of normality. Eccentricity as display and performance is also tackled in several chapters, which focus on reception, image and (self)-representation, exhibition and voyeurism.

Alan Turing: The Enigma, by Andrew Hodges

Listed as one of the essential 50 books of all time in The Guardian

It's only a slight exaggeration to say that the British mathematician Alan Turing (1912-1954) saved the Allies from the Nazis, invented the computer and artificial intelligence, and anticipated gay liberation by decades―all before his suicide at age forty-one. This classic biography of the founder of computer science, reissued on the centenary of his birth with a substantial new preface by the author, is the definitive account of an extraordinary mind and life.

A gripping story of mathematics, computers, cryptography, and homosexual persecution, Andrew Hodges's acclaimed audiobook captures both the inner and outer drama of Turing's life. Hodges tells how Turing's revolutionary idea of 1936―the concept of a universal machine―laid the foundation for the modern computer and how Turing brought the idea to practical realization in 1945 with his electronic design. The audiobook also tells how this work was directly related to Turing's leading role in breaking the German Enigma ciphers during World War II, a scientific triumph that was critical to Allied victory in the Atlantic. At the same time, this is the tragic story of a man who, despite his wartime service, was eventually arrested, stripped of his security clearance, and forced to undergo a humiliating treatment program―all for trying to live honestly in a society that defined homosexuality as a crime.

Amazon.com Review
Alan Turing died in 1954, but the themes of his life epitomize the turn of the millennium. A pure mathematician from a tradition that prided itself on its impracticality, Turing laid the foundations for modern computer science, writes Andrew Hodges:

Alan had proved that there was no "miraculous machine" that could solve all mathematical problems, but in the process he had discovered something almost equally miraculous, the idea of a universal machine that could take over the work of any machine.

During World War II, Turing was the intellectual star of Bletchley Park, the secret British cryptography unit. His work cracking the German's Enigma machine code was, in many ways, the first triumph of computer science. And Turing died because his identity as a homosexual was incompatible with cold-war ideas of security, implemented with machines and remorseless logic: "It was his own invention, and it killed the goose that laid the golden eggs."

Andrew Hodges's remarkable insight weaves Turing's mathematical and computer work with his personal life to produce one of the best biographies of our time, and the basis of the Derek Jacobi movie Breaking the Code. Hodges has the mathematical knowledge to explain the intellectual significance of Turing's work, while never losing sight of the human and social picture:

In this sense his life belied his work, for it could not be contained by the discrete state machine. At every stage his life raised questions about the connection (or lack of it) between the mind and the body, thought and action, intelligence and operations, science and society, the individual and history.

And Hodges admits what all biographers know, but few admit, about their subjects: "his inner code remains unbroken." Alan Turing is still an enigma. --Mary Ellen Curtin

Winner of the 2015 (27th) USC Libraries Scripter Award, University of Southern California Libraries
One of The Guardian's Best Popular Physical Science Books of 2014, chosen by GrrlScientist

"Scrupulous and enthralling."--A. O. Scott, New York Times

"One of the finest scientific biographies ever written."--Jim Holt, New Yorker

"Andrew Hodges' 1983 book Alan Turing: The Enigma, is the indispensable guide to Turing's life and work and one of the finest biographies of a scientific genius ever written."--Michael Hiltzik, Los Angeles Times

"Turing's rehabilitation from over a quarter-century's embarrassed silence was largely the result of Andrew Hodges's superb biography, Alan Turing: The Enigma (1983; reissued with a new introduction in 2012). Hodges examined available primary sources and interviewed surviving witnesses to elucidate Turing's multiple dimensions. A mathematician, Hodges ably explained Turing's intellectual accomplishments with insight, and situated them within their wider historical contexts. He also empathetically explored the centrality of Turing's sexual identity to his thought and life in a persuasive rather than reductive way."--Michael Saler, Times Literary Supplement

"On the face of it, a richly detailed 500-page biography of a mathematical genius and analysis of his ideas, might seem a daunting proposition. But fellow mathematician and author Hodges has acutely clear and often extremely moving insight into the humanity behind the leaping genius that helped to crack the Germans' Enigma codes during World War II and bring about the dawn of the computer age. . . . This melancholy story is transfigured into something else: an exploration of the relationship between machines and the soul and a full-throated celebration of Turing's brilliance, unselfconscious quirkiness and bravery in a hostile age."--Sinclair McKay, Wall Street Journal

"A first-class contribution to history and an exemplary work of biography."--I. J. Good, Nature

"An almost perfect match of biographer and subject. . . . [A] great book."--Ray Monk, Guardian

"A superb biography. . . . Written by a mathematician, it describes in plain language Turing's work on the foundations of computer science and how he broke the Germans' Enigma code in the Second World War. The subtle depiction of class rivalries, personal relationships, and Turing's tragic end are worthy of a novel. But this was a real person. Hodges describes the man, and the science that fascinated him--which once saved, and still influences, our lives."--Margaret Boden, New Scientist

"Andrew Hodges's magisterial Alan Turing: The Enigma . . . is still the definitive text."--Joshua Cohen, Harper's

"Andrew Hodges's biography is a meticulously researched and written account detailing every aspect of Turing's life. . . . This account of Turing's life is a definitive scholarly work, rich in primary source documentation and small-grained historical detail."--Mathematics Teacher

"Tells a powerful story that combines professional success and personal tragedy."--Nancy Szokan, Washington Post

"[A] really excellent biography. . . . The great thing about this book is that the author is a mathematician and can explain the details of Turing's work--as a scientist, mathematician, and a code breaker--in a way that is easy to understand. He is also wonderful at the emotional nuance of Alan's life, who was a somewhat odd--a student was assigned to him in school to help him maintain a semblance of tidiness in his appearance, rooms and school work and at Bletchley Park he was known for chaining his tea mug to a pipe--but he was also charming and intelligent and Hodges brings all the aspects of his personality and life into sharp focus."--Off the Shelf

"This book is an incredibly detailed and meticulously researched biography of Alan Turing. Reading it is a melancholy experience, since you know from the outset that the ending is a tragic one and that knowledge overshadows you throughout. While the author divides the text into two parts, it actually reads like a play in four acts. . . . This book is Turing's memorial, and one that does justice to the subject."--Katherine Safford-Ramus, MAA Reviews

"The new paperback edition of the 1983 book that inspired the film, with an updated introduction by Oxford mathematics professor Andrew Hodges, is an exhilarating, compassionate and detailed biography of a complicated man."--Jane Ciabattari, BBC

"If [The Imitation Game] does nothing else but send you, as it did me, to Alan Hodges's Alan Turing: The Enigma (1983, newly prefaced in the 2014 Princeton University Press edition) it more than justifies its existence. A great read, Hodges's intellectual biography depicts Turing as a brilliant mathematician; a crucial pioneering figure in the theorization and engineering of digital computing; and the biggest brain in Bletchley Park's Hut #8."--Amy Taubin, Artforum

"It is indeed the ultimate biography of Alan Turing. It will bring you as close as possible to his enigmatic personality."--Adhemar Bultheel, European Mathematical Society

"A book whose time has finally come. I found it to be a page-turner in spite of the occasionally esoteric explanations of mathematical theories that reminded of why Brooklyn Technical High School was not the wisest choice for me."--Terrance, Paris Readers Circle

"Thanks to the movie The Imitation Game, Alan Turing has emerged from history's shadows, where his memory had languished for decades. For anyone whose interest in the pioneering computer scientist, mathematician, and logician was piqued by the film, the book that served as the film's source material, Andrew Hodges's exhaustive biography Alan Turing: The Enigma, has the answers."--Frank Caso, Simply Charly

From the Back Cover

"One of the finest scientific biographies I've ever read: authoritative, superbly researched, deeply sympathetic, and beautifully told."--Sylvia Nasar, author of A Beautiful Mind

"A captivating, compassionate portrait of a first-rate scientist who gave so much to a world that in the end cruelly rejected him. Perceptive and absorbing, Andrew Hodges's book is scientific biography at its best."--Paul Hoffman, author of The Man Who Loved Only Numbers

"A remarkable and admirable biography."--Simon Singh, author of The Code Book and Fermat's Enigma

"A first-rate presentation of the life of a first-rate scientific mind.... It is hard to imagine a more thoughtful and compassionate portrait of a human being."--from the Foreword by Douglas Hofstadter

One of the few books on my 'keep forever' list
By Thomas D. Jennings
Without this book, the real Alan Turing might fade into obscurity or at least the easy caricature of an eccentric British mathematician. And to the relief of many, because Turing was a difficult person: an unapologetic homosexual in post-victorian england; ground-breaking mathematician; utterly indifferent to social conventions; arrogantly original (working from first principles, ignoring precedents); with no respect for professional boundaries (a 'pure' mathematician who taught himself engineering and electronics).
His best-known work is his 1936 'Computable Numbers' paper, defining a self-modifying, stored-program machine. He used these ideas to help build code-breaking methods and machinery at Bletchley Park, England's WWII electronic intelligence center. This work, much still classified today, led directly to the construction of the world's first stored-program, self-modifying computer, in 1948.
Computers were always symbol-manipulators to Alan, not 'number crunchers', the predominant view even to von Neumann, and into the 60's and 70's. He designed many basic software concepts (interpreter, floating point), most of which were ignored (he umm wasn't exactly good at promoting his ideas). By 1948 Alan had moved on to studying human and machine intelligence, as a user of computers, again with his lack of social niceties and radical thinking, some of his ideas were baffling or embarrassing until 'rediscovered' decades later as brilliant insights into intelligence. His 'Turing test' of intelligence dates from this period, and is still widely misunderstood.
Poor Alan; his refusal to deceive himself or others and "go along" with the conventions of the time regarding sexuality caused him (and other homosexuals then) great problems; early Cold War England was not a good time to be gay, or a misfit, especially one with deep knowledge of war-time secrecy (he was technical crypto liason to the U.S., and one of the few with broad knowledge of operations at Bletchley, since he defined so much of it, in a time of extreme compartmentalization). His sexual escapades eventually got him in trouble, and his increasing isolation and the fact that he simply couldn't acknowledge some of his life's work due to secrecy, probably influenced his suicide at the age of 42.
I first discovered Turing-the-person in A HISTORY OF COMPUTING IN THE 20TH CENTURY (Metropolis, Howlett, Gian-Carlo Rota; Acedemic Press, 1980), where I.J. Good wrote, "we didn't know he was a homosexual until after the war... if the security people had found out [and removed him]... we might have lost the war". This led me to look for books on Turing, and then the Hodges book magically appeared on the shelf.
I am grateful that Hodges researched his life as well as his work, as far as the data allows. Knowing the whole is always important, but I think critical in Alan Turing's life.
My only complaint with the book is that it makes a number of assumptions or implications that seem to require knowledge of British culture, both contemporary and of the period, which I still didn't pick up on a re-reading. But it barely detracts from the book.
Clearly, I rate this one of the most important books I've ever read.

The Classic Biography of the Computer's Progenitor
By Martin D. Davis
It is a pleasure to see that the wonderful biography of Alan Turing by Andrew Hodges is once again available. With loving care, Hodges follows Turing's life from the clumsy child whose largely absentee parents were caught up in maintaining the British imperial presence in India, to the mathematically precocious adolescent facing teachers for whom mathematics imparted a bad smell to a room, finally coming into his own at Cambridge University where he wrote the paper that provided the conceptual underpinnings of the all-purpose computers we all use today. Hodges carefully explains Turing's crucial contributions to breaking the secret codes that the German military used all through the Second World War, confident in the security provided by their "Enigma" machines. Turing's highly successful war-time practical work known only to a few, his efforts after the war to enable the construction of a general purpose electronic computer were frustrated by bureaucratic mismanagement and by a lack of appreciation of the value of his ideas, many of which came to the fore much later. A burglary of his house that a prudent man would have kept to himself, led to Turing's homosexuality coming to official notice when he reported the crime to the police. He was prosecuted for "gross indecency" and sentenced to a course of injections of estrogen intended to diminish his sex drive. We will never know how much this barbaric treatment contributed to his suicide or what he might have accomplished had his life not been cut short. This is a book that will fascinate readers interested in the history of the computer, in the story of how the German submarine fleet threatening to strangle England was defeated, and in the tragic story of the persecution for his sex life of a man who should have been prized as a national hero.

The Examples Need More Explaining
By Raymundo
This book is fine. I think they gave enough examples with high quality and sufficient learning material for the Statics portion as long as you could find answers. With Chegg or google, most of the time, you could get the answers and learn it well.

The Mechanics of Materials section lacked I believe in quality. Their examples completely idealized the mechanics; such a perfect situation would never occur on a midterm, unless the instructor is trying to make it easy. All Mohr's Circle problems were plug and chug type problems whereas my final were far more simple and theoretical in nature (that means the equations and such were almost useless). For Morh's Circle problems, most problems had a trivial solution for the value of R for which is normally a much more tedious process and the pole method was not introduced, however, a very useful tool depending on the student. So, the construction was the biggest lacking factor for Morh's Circle discussion in the textbook and should be presented in much easier steps to follow than jumbled clunky paragraphs.

Also, the problems involving equivalent coupled systems and using that to find shear and bending moments at particular points along a section were very idealized and plug and chug problems; those problems required a heavier amount of emphasis on the process (thinking involved). The biggest issue with this is that the particular cases for the couple systems and it's orientations were not at all described in ch.14 as would other Mechanics of Materials texts.

Ch. 8 I think skipped way too fast into the design problems, because instead of forcing/motivating the student to calculate bearing, shear, normal and flexural (which flexural wasn't covered until ch. 11) stresses with exercises on that, there were problems involving all those stresses which if a student couldn't apply, would get so lost on all design problems. The student must really know all the parameters of calculations before using all combinations of them that the problem won't even hint at (e.g. prob 8.45 was a painful 10 hours for me). Also, it would have helped if this chapter were covered mixed in with statics course material to get the student motivated on this early on and know what the real deal is ahead.

Ch. 9 & 10 were not bad, but they needed more plots. There were not enough plots of internal forces, moments, etc. that allowed it easy assurance for the student that they understand the system. Otherwise, the student is at the mercy of spending like 20 minutes just figuring out if their math matches when the plots could save 19 minutes.

Ch. 11, 12 and 13 really were all similar focusing on beam type structural elements and chapter 11 was exceptional with it's depth on reinforced concrete sections and flexural stress effect on sections, but ch. 11 design problems were not extensive enough to be anything more than trivial, since they should have included small LRFD and ASD calculation of allowable moments and stresses as a good intro for a later chapter. Also, Ch. 12 and 13 I would say same thing, because with 12 and 13, they were just highly trivialized, yet methodically diverted for the shear flow and bending moment and shear diagram drawing as well as the lack of ch. 12 and 13's design problem complexity; the ASD and LRFD methods for buildings should have been introduced allowing a very easy, but most applicable application for the content learned in ch. 12 and 13 hence should go before ch. 11, but still after ch. (8 & 9). Ch. 12 should have also introduced the idea of an axial load diagram and the odds parts of it.

Ch. 15 on beam analysis (differential equation math) was extensive and fairly concise. However, it didn't cover the Heaviside singularity functions that make the differential equation solutions a matter of working itself out. So, doing that would make it a lot easier to work out what they have in the book.

Ch. 16 on buckling was fine, except I prefer that the text go over a detailed derivation on the different formulas for Pcrit depending on the boundary conditions for the column. The text did cover 2, but not all.

My other problem was that there were not enough plots of internal forces, moments, etc. that allowed it easy assurance for the student that they understand the system. Otherwise, the student is at the mercy of spending like 20 minutes just figuring out if their math matches when the plots could save 19 minutes.

Overall, I think the example problems should have had more explanation in the steps rather than mostly math as it is, but this book is still fine. It's definitely better than some 'okay' books.

Book conditions may not be honest.
By Miguel
It's a book and it has the information but the quality was not as stated. This books exterior is in poor condition. Biding is very loose and almost feels like it's ready to separate. The corners are frayed as well.
